It’s the day before Georgia travels to Lexington to take on Kentucky, and as is customary, the team announced who its 3 captains would be for the game. This time around, defensive back Eric Stokes, defensive lineman Malik Herring and offensive lineman Trey Hill have won the honors.
Stokes has recorded 7 tackles, 2 passes defended, and 2 interceptions through the first 4 games of the season. The junior’s 1st career interception was a pick-six of Feleipe Franks in the Bulldogs’ season opener at Arkansas.
Herring has had a strong start to 2020 as a member of the Dawgs’ talented defensive line. The senior from Forsyth, Ga. has 9 tackles, including 1 for a loss and 1 solo sack.
Hill, who was named 2nd-team All-SEC by the media before the season began, has started 18 consecutive games at center for the team. Thus far, he has yet to miss a game in his two-plus seasons with the program.
The Bulldogs and Wildcats kick off from Kroger Field at noon ET, with the game to be televised by the SEC Network.
