Georgia basketball picks up late addition to 2024 recruiting class with PG from Serbia

Georgia was already looking to bring in a strong recruiting class for head coach Mike White. Now, the Bulldogs are adding one more piece in the 2024 recruiting class with a point guard originally from Serbia.
The player is Savo Drezgic, a Serbian-born PG who played for DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida during the 2023-24 season. Drezgic is listed at 6-foot-3 and 198 pounds and was originally a member of the 2025 recruiting class.
On Friday, the Bulldogs confirmed Drezgic was reclassifying to 2024 and has signed with the Bulldogs:

This past season, Drezgic averaged 13.4 points, 4.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds, and he also competed in the Albert Schweitzer U18 World Tournament in April. At the event, Drezgic was Serbia’s 2nd-leading scorer with 13.6 points and also averaged 4.7 assists and 2.1 steals.
Drezgic was rated a 3-star prospect per the 247 Sports Composite and the 14th overall point guard in the country. He joins a high school recruiting class for the Bulldogs that is 10th nationally per the team composite.

Georgia’s outlook
Even before adding Drezgic, Georgia was bringing in a strong recruiting class from the high school ranks. That class is headlined by Asa Newell, a 5-star power forward and the nation’s No. 14 player in the country for the class of 2024.
The Bulldogs were also able to land Somto Cyril, another top-50 player for the cycle late in the process. After originally signing with Kentucky, Cyril was on the move after John Calipari’s departure to Arkansas.
Now, Georgia can add Drezgic — a true point guard — to go with those big men and 3-star combo guard Jordyn Kee.
