Georgia lost starting center Drew Bobo during Friday’s rivalry showdown against Georgia Tech after he suffered an apparent left foot injury.
The redshirt junior and the son of Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo was seen on the sideline with a boot on that injured left foot. Drew Bobo previously dealt with a hand laceration, so Friday’s injury was just the latest for a key part of the Bulldogs’ offensive line.
Bobo was replaced by redshirt freshman Malachi Toliver, as 4th-ranked Georgia tried to grind out a victory over No. 23 Georgia Tech in the neutral-site matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Here’s video taken at halftime of Bobo walking on his own power to the locker room to get an X-ray taken:
The Bulldogs are trying to complete an 11-1 regular season as they close in on a College Football Playoff berth.
This latest injury to Bobo will put some question marks though into his future status and how it affects Georgia’s offensive line in the postseason.
