Georgia defense praised after another dominant showing in blowout win over UAB

After a competitive game in Week 1, Georgia was on cruise control for its home opener in Week 2.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 with a 56-7 win over UAB on Saturday evening at Sanford Stadium in a game that was lopsided from the start. Coming off its impressive victory over Clemson, Georgia took control early and rolled against the Blazers.

The Bulldogs’ defense has still allowed only 3 points this season. And that was a field goal in the fourth quarter of last week’s win over Clemson. UAB’s only points on Saturday came via its own defense, which had an interception return touchdown in the fourth quarter.

While Georgia’s defense still hasn’t allowed any touchdowns, its defense has scored 2 TDs, including a 20-yard interception return score by Jamon Dumas-Johnson in the fourth quarter against the Blazers.
