Just when you thought Georgia RB D’Andre Swift ran for 149 yards in a Week 1 win at Vanderbilt, it turns out he didn’t.

Due to a clerical error, Swift was mistakenly awarded 2 extra rushing yards. It turns out, he only ran for 147 yards. (What a disappointment, right?)

Georgia explained what happened on Thursday, saying a 10-yard Georgia penalty was mistakenly entered in the books as a 12-yard penalty:

Obviously, this doesn’t impact the outcome of the game in any way, but it could be important for an SEC rushing title down the road.

Also, could you imagine if this was fantasy football? There could have been entire matchups swung by those 2 yards.
