After a final date with Austin Peay has been set in stone, Georgia has finalized their home schedule for 2018. The Bulldogs will open the 2018 season by hosting Austin Peay Sept. 1 inside Sanford Stadium.
The only other known dates for the 2018 schedule include Middle Tennessee Sept. 15, Florida Oct. 27, UMass Nov. 17, and Georgia Tech Nov. 24.
The Dogs will have an objectively favorable schedule for the season, as they play seven of their 12 games at home — including key games with Tennessee, Auburn, and Georgia Tech and have the opportunity to avenge last season’s home loss to Vanderbilt.

In addition to the quantity of home dates, the quality of opponents that will travel between the hedges will benefit UGA. Georgia will host rivals Auburn, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech, three teams that are perennially ranked. Due to the Georgia vs. Florida game being played at a neutral site, these are three of the most beneficial teams possible to play in between the hedges.
In what figures to be quarterback Jacob Eason’s third, and potentially final season in Athens, this schedule will give Georgia fans plenty of chances to see big games with a friendly, albeit rowdy crowd.
