Georgia freshman defender to miss rest of spring due to injury, per report

Unfortunate news out of Georgia’s spring practice: C.J. Washington will miss the rest of spring practice, according to Jordan D. Hill of Dawgs247.
Washington’s injury is not specified in the Dawgs247 report. Hill writes that the freshman linebacker was injured during a contact drill in Thursday’s practice.
Out of Cedartown, Georgia, Washington committed to UGA on July 22, 2020. Washington was recruited by Dan Lanning and Glenn Schumann. Washington followed through with his plans to sign early despite Lanning’s departure for the Oregon head coaching job.
Georgia’s 2022 roster lists Washington at 6-1, 220 pounds. He was rated 4-stars, the No. 11 linebacker, No. 13 Georgia product and No. 135 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. Washington signed with Georgia over 11 other scholarship offers, including Florida, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
