Georgia added an elite linebacker to its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs earned a commitment from 5-star linebacker Zayden Walker, who had offers from just about every major program in the country. He’ll attend UGA and continue to growing legacy of high-level linebackers in Athens.
Here’s Walker’s announcement:

Walker is one of the best prospects in the country, regardless of position. He’s the No. 23 overall player and the No. 2 linebacker in the nation for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 5 player from the state of Georgia.
Walker attends Schley County High School in Ellaville, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 225 pounds. Walker took a visit to Athens this past weekend but initially earned an offer from UGA way back in October of 2021.
Walker previously had official visits scheduled to Penn State, Miami and South Carolina for later this month. It’s unclear if he still intends to take those visits after making this commitment to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.
Georgia now has 10 commitments in the class of 2025. The group currently sits at No. 9 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
