Georgia lands commitment from in-state DT, top-50 2022 prospect

Georgia is off to a hot start in the 2022 recruiting class.
On Wednesday, the Bulldogs landed a commitment from in-state defensive tackle Tyre West. The Tift County standout is listed at 6-3, 280 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 4 defensive tackle, No. 5 Peach State product and No. 43 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite.
West had already accumulated 23 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
He is UGA’s fourth 2022 commitment. All four prospects are rated No. 104 or higher nationally on the Composite.
