Georgia lands several stars on ESPN’s list of top 100 college football players for 2025

The Georgia Bulldogs won the 2025 SEC Championship and earned a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, and the Bulldogs also placed four players among the Southeastern Conference’s representatives on ESPN’s list of the top 100 college football players for 2025.
Senior defensive back Daylen Everette checked in at No. 72 on ESPN’s list. Everette notched 49 total tackles eight passes defensed and an interception – which got returned 34 yards for a touchdown against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. Everette’s 47-yard fumble return for a score also staked Georgia to a nine-point lead in the 39-34 loss to Ole Miss at the Sugar Bowl.
Junior quarterback Gunner Stockton earned the No. 64 ranking. Stockton passed for 2,894 yards and 24 touchdowns in his first full year as a Georgia starter and ran for 462 yards with 10 more TDs. Stockton directed Georgia to fourth-quarter comebacks against Tennessee, Ole Miss and Florida en route to back-to-back SEC titles for the first time since 1980-82.

Junior wide receiver Zachariah Branch was ranked No. 59. A coveted transfer from USC, Branch hauled in an SEC-best 81 catches for 811 yards and six touchdowns in 2025. Branch also broke Georgia’s single-season record for receptions, previously held by Brice Hunter with 76 in 1993.
Junior linebacker CJ Allen was Georgia’s highest-ranked player at No. 25. Allen led the Bulldogs with 88 total tackles (47 solo) and eight tackles for loss as Georgia finished second in the SEC in run defense (81.5 yards) and scoring defense (17.6 points).
Georgia opens the 2026 season at home Sept. 5 against Tennessee State and plays its SEC opener Sept. 19 at Arkansas.
