Georgia loses former blue-chip CB to transfer portal after 1 season with the program
Georgia is losing one of its top-ranked 2023 recruits to the transfer portal.
Former 4-star cornerback AJ Harris is already in the portal after just 1 season in Athens, according to a report. Rivals’ transfer portal tracker was first to officially share that news on Friday afternoon.

Harris was a major part of Georgia’s star-studded 2023 recruiting class. Harris was a 5-star prospect according to some outlets. He finished the cycle as a 4-star prospect and the No. 41 overall player in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Harris did see some playing time for Georgia this year, albeit not in a starting role. He appeared in 7 games for the Bulldogs and recorded 8 total tackles during his freshman campaign.
Most of Harris’ production this season came in nonconference play, but he did record 2 total tackles in UGA’s win over Florida on Oct. 28. Harris did not play in any games during the month of November.
Georgia is gearing up to face Florida State in the Orange Bowl to close out the 2023 season.
