Georgia defensive back Daniel Harris has decided to enter the transfer portal, he announced on Monday.

Harris enters the portal after just 1 season with the Bulldogs. He was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2023 and played in 5 games as a true freshman for the Bulldogs this season.

Although Harris did appear in 5 games this year for the Bulldogs, he did not record any statistics during his true freshman campaign. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Harris was a significant recruiting win for the Bulldogs in the class of 2023. A former 4-star prospect, he was the No. 163 overall player and the No. 19 cornerback in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Harris is the 18th player from Georgia’s 2023 roster to enter the transfer portal so far this offseason. Despite the heavy turnover, Georgia is expected to contend for the national title again in 2024. The Bulldogs have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2024 and have also signed multiple elite transfers already this offseason.

Harris is originally from Miami, Fla.
