Georgia named its players of the week for Week 2 on Monday following yet another convincing win, this time it was a 33-0 win over Samford.
On offense, Sedrick Van Pran was the player of the week. The offensive lineman helped prevent sacks, as Georgia allowed just one on the game. He also was a key blocker for the running backs, who racked up 127 yards on the game.
On defense, it was Smael Mondon Jr. and Dan Jackson. Smael, a linebacker, led the way for Georgia’s defense with 4 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. Jackson, a defensive back, picked up 2 tackles on the game.
On special teams, Georgia picked wide receiver Ladd McConkey and wide receiver Marcus Rosemy. McConkey had 2 punt returns for 32 yards with a long of 21.
