The Georgia Bulldogs announced on Twitter their team captains ahead of tomorrow night’s match-up against Clemson. They are quarterback JT Daniels, running back James Cook, and linebacker Nakobe Dean.
Daniels saw limited action at the beginning of the 2020 season but came on strong in the second half throwing for over 1200 yards and 10 touchdowns with only two interceptions.
Cook, who is a senior, ran for 303 yards with three touchdowns and averaged 6.7 yards per carry. Dean, who is a junior, had 39 tackles and. 1.5 sacks last season.
All three will be leading a Bulldogs team with huge expectations coming into the 2021 season. The nation’s eyes will be tuning into tomorrow night’s contest versus Clemson to see if this team is the real deal and a serious contender for the national championship as many suspect.
A loss by either team tomorrow night, especially Clemson, may all but eliminate them from contention. Georgia, on the other hand, still has a chance to stay in the national championship race even with a loss because of their SEC schedule.
The kick-off tomorrow night will be at 7:30 p.m. ET.
