Georgia running back Branson Robinson scored a 5-yard rushing touchdown early in Saturday’s game against Mississippi State to give the Bulldogs a 10-3 first-quarter lead.

He was then forced out of the game with an apparent knee injury. According to multiple reports from Sanford Stadium, Robinson left the game and returned to the locker room. When he came back out onto the field, he had a brace over his right knee. He is believed to be out for the rest of the game.

Robinson had 12 yards and a touchdown on 3 carries before exiting the game.

Injuries have been a theme for Robinson during his time at Georgia. He missed all of last season with a knee injury and missed time during this past offseason recovering.

While Robinson is out for the rest of the game, the Bulldogs are in a tough battle with Mississippi State.

Georgia led Mississippi State just 10-3 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs were able to create a bit more separation in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs will hope to be healthy and ready to go next week, as the schedule once again gets a lot tougher. Next week, Georgia takes on one of the best teams in the country when they travel to Austin to take on No. 1 Texas.

Kickoff in that game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be aired on ABC.
