Georgia RB coach Thomas Brown was reported to be out recruiting with new Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart in recent weeks.
That’s what makes today’s news all the more surprising.
According to Seth Emerson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Brown will not remain on staff with Georgia and will instead join Mark Richt’s staff at Miami.
While the former Bulldogs running back’s decision to work with the coach he played for is not unexpected, the timing of it is curious.
There has been no indication of who may replace Brown on Smart’s staff.
