Georgia redshirt freshman defensive back enters transfer portal

Georgia redshirt freshman defensive back Marcus Washington Jr. announced Saturday morning that he will be entering the transfer portal after reclassifying to the Class of 2022. He totaled just 1 tackle his freshman season, coming in Week 2 against Samford.
Washington is the 5th Bulldog to enter the portal this offseason, joining Shone Washington, Bear Alexander, Griffin Scroggs and inside linebacker Rian Davis.

Washington is a former 4-star recruit and top 150 prospect in the Class of 2022 out of Grovetown, Georgia. He will have 4 seasons of eligibility remaining upon finding his transfer destination.
