Georgia releases 7-game 2020-21 nonconference men’s basketball schedule

As we approach the start of the 2020-21 men’s basketball season, a number of SEC squads are starting to finalize their nonconference schedules.
On Thursday, the Georgia Bulldogs put the finishing touches on their 7-game nonconference slate.
As you can see below, all 7 games will be played in Athens, and the only game that sticks out is the Dec. 19 matchup vs. Cincinnati:
- Nov. 25 — vs. Columbus State
- Nov. 29 — vs. Gardner-Webb
- Dec. 4 — vs. Jacksonville
- Dec. 8 — vs. Montana
- Dec. 12 — vs. Samford
- Dec. 19 — vs. Cincinnati
- Dec. 22 — vs. Northeastern
For a team trying to move on from Anthony Edwards and Rayshaun Hammonds, it makes sense that coach Tom Crean would want to ease his new squad into the season.
However, we’ll have to see if this nonconference schedule does a good job of preparing the Dawgs for what lies ahead in SEC play.
