Georgia releases game trailer for home opener against UAB, narrated by D.J. Shockley

Georgia is flying high after a dominant defensive showing against Clemson to open the 2021 season. While it didn’t see much from its offense, it ultimately didn’t matter as it held the Tigers to just 3 points on Charlotte on Sept. 4.
It’s all for naught, though, if the Bulldogs can’t build upon that performance as they play between the hedges for the first time this season. Awaiting them on Saturday in their home opener will be a non-conference foe in UAB, a team the Dawgs have faced only twice before—in 2003 and 2006, winning both contests.
While D.J. Shockley was part of the 2003 team that defeated the Blazers 16-13 at Sanford Stadium, he, unfortunately, was injured and didn’t play. Shockley’s currently the Georgia sideline reporter for its radio broadcast and a sports anchor for WAGA-TV in Atlanta, and on Thursday, the team released its Week 2 game trailer narrated by none other than “Shock” himself.
It’s set to be quite the scene as it’s the 1st game at Sanford that will be open to full capacity since Nov. 23, 2019, vs. Texas A&M.
