Georgia TE Oscar Delp pens thoughtful ‘goodbye’ message to UGA fans

Oscar Delp is officially moving on to the next level after 4 successful years at Georgia.

The longtime Georgia tight end and was a member of the 2022 national championship squad but is now out of college eligibility. On Monday, he wrote a message on social media thanking Kirby Smart, teammates and Georgia fans for the last 4 years.

“Thank you to my teammates for pushing me and becoming brothers for life, and thank you to the best fanbase in the country for the love and support throughout this journey,” Delp wrote in-part. “The University of Georgia will always be home. This program and this game have changed my life and given me more than I could ever put into words. I will carry the lessons, memories, and relationships with me for the rest of my life.”

Delp caps off his college career with 70 receptions for 854 yards and 9 touchdowns. Last season, Delp tallied 21 receptions for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns.

“With that said, I’m closing this chapter and officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft,” Delp added. “This is something I’ve dreamed of my entire life, and I’m excited for what’s ahead and ready for the next challenge. Thank you for everything. Go Dawgs!”
