Unbelievable scenes in Atlanta. Georgia Tech has knocked off No. 12 Clemson with a last-second, fire-drill field goal, 24-21.

The Yellow Jackets, behind an incredible effort from quarterback Haynes King and kicker Aidan Birr, are now 3-0 on the season after one of the most exciting endings you’ll see this year. Facing 3rd down, Georgia Tech’s King rushed forward and was stopped before the line of gain, but the Yellow Jackets rushed Birr and the kicking unit out, snapped the ball at around 3 seconds and nailed a 55-yard field goal.

It would have been good from about 65, folks. Birr’s kick was absolutely nuked.

It’s a sea of white and gold at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Check out the scenes below:

Brent Key is now 7-1 against ranked ACC teams. The Yellow Jackets head coach has done incredible things at Georgia Tech, and we’ve got a feeling that GT is just getting started this season.

Check out the rest of Georgia Tech’s schedule – the only ranked matchup left for Brent Key and Co. is against Georgia to end the year, and the Yellow Jackets very nearly pulled off that upset last season.

Are the Yellow Jackets a dark horse playoff contender?
