Georgia vs. Florida availability: UGA key linemen expected to play; UF playmaker out
Georgia and Florida are set to battle in Week 10 in one of college football’s best rivalry games. This game will be played in Jacksonville, FL, as is tradition for the Cocktail Party rivalry.
Ahead of the much-anticipated matchup, both teams released an initial availability report on Wednesday. The SEC mandates teams release this report every Wednesday before each game, and then an updated report on Thursday and Friday.
For the Bulldogs, 6 players are listed as out while 2 are listed as probable. The 2 biggest names on the list are the 2 listed as probable, so that’s a good sign for the Bulldogs.
Guard Tate Ratledge and defensive lineman Jordan Hall are the 2 listed as probable. Ratledge is a key member of the offensive line who hasn’t played since Week 3. Hall has yet to play in 2024, so his return would be a huge boost.
Defensive backs Joenel Aguero and Dan Jackson are listed as out for the 1st half after being ejected for targeting against Texas. Smael Mondon Jr. will miss another game due to a lower-body injury.
For the Gators, 9 players are listed as out while 3 are listed as questionable. The 2 biggest names on Florida’s report are wide receiver Eugene (Trey) Wilson III and cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. Both players are out for this game, with Marshall being done for the remainder of the season.
Wilson is 3rd on the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. The sophomore WR has caught 19 passes for 266 yards and 1 TD in just 4 of UF’s 7 games.
The Bulldogs and Gators will kick off from EverBank Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
