Georgia has landed a commitment from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep defensive lineman Jordan Thomas.

A 6-foot-5, 296-pound lineman, Thomas is a consensus 4-star recruit and the top prospect from the state of New Jersey. He chose the Bulldogs over Rutgers, South Carolina, and Michigan, among others. According to Dawgs247’s Brian Dohn, previously-scheduled official visits to Michigan and South Carolina later this month are off following his commitment.

Thomas appears locked in with the defending champs.

Thomas took an official visit to see the nearby Scarlet Knights the first weekend of June. This past weekend, he was in Athens to see the Bulldogs. That visit was all he needed. He’s joining the top-ranked class in the country for the 2024 cycle, a group that features 19 known commitments now — 13 of which are from blue-chippers.

In the industry-generated 247 Composite, Thomas ranks as the No. 105 overall prospect in the class. He’s also the No. 13 defensive lineman.

Thomas was credited with 31 tackles as a junior and 38 as a sophomore. He has 5 tackles for loss over his last 2 seasons along with 4 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries.
