Three-star 2017 WR Xavier Jenkins has decided to reopen his recruitment according to multiple outlets.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.) wideout committed to Georgia in February, but told the staff he was backing off on his pledge on Saturday according to a report by DawgNation, which has been confirmed by Dawgs247.

Former UGA coach Mark Richt could potentially lure Jenkins to Miami, as the Hurricanes have recently extended an offer and will be hosting him at an upcoming camp.

The loss of Jenkins hasn’t hurt UGA’s class rankings with 247Sports Composite, which still has the Bulldogs No. 1 in the SEC and No. 2 nationally.
