Georgia WR, who appeared in 9 games this season, reportedly enters transfer portal
Georgia will reportedly see another player enter the transfer portal.
CJ Smith, who appeared in 9 games as a freshman in 2023, will enter the portal. The receiver caught 6 passes for 116 yards this season.

Smith becomes the 19th Georgia player to enter the portal thus far. Fellow receivers Jackson Meeks, Zeed Haynes, and Logan Johnson have also left the Bulldogs’ receiver room. However, former Vanderbilt WR London Humphreys transferred to Georgia, giving the Bulldogs one of the best available receivers.
Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Smith was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school. The Orlando, Florida native chose Georgia over Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina, among others.
Even with the Bulldogs failing to reach the College Football Playoff, the team secured the No. 1 recruiting class for 2024. The team has also added talent in the portal, with the aforementioned Humphreys and running back Trevor Etienne headlining the portal additions.
