Georgia’s Rashad Roundtree practices at linebacker for first time

Georgia sophomore Rashad Roundtree was working with a different position group during Monday’s practice.
After playing safety last season, Roundtree is now working with the inside linebackers due to Georgia’s lack of depth at that position.
When LB Tim Kimbrough left the program left week, the Bulldogs had to scramble to find help at the position and Roundtree stepped up.
The sophomore is already impressing his defensive teammates:
“He looked pretty good,” safety Dominick Sanders said of the 6-foot-1, 204-pound Roundtree. “He’s a bigger body. As a DB, he was one of the big guys back there. Being a linebacker is something he’s got to adjust to, but he’ll improve on that because everyday he’ll be spending time learning how to play linebacker but he’s a big, physical guy.”
Having Roundtree move from safety obviously isn’t ideal for the Bulldogs, but it’s nice to know they recruited versatile athletes willing to help wherever they can.
