Georgia’s rushing effort against Auburn was historic (and not in a good way)

Saturday obviously wasn’t a good day for Georgia.
The Bulldogs, which came into the game ranked No. 1 in the country, lost 40-17 to No. 10 Auburn on the road.
It wasn’t just the score, which was bad enough, but it was the way Georgia lost that created so much attention. Many believe that Georgia was exposed as being a one-dimensional team on Saturday.
That would make sense considering UGA hasn’t been tested in the passing game much this season. Instead, it has just been able to run all over everybody. But Auburn wouldn’t let that happen.
The Tigers forced Georgia to throw the ball, which it had trouble with, and, as a result, the ‘Dawgs also ended up with just 46 rushing yards. Auburn took away everything.
Star running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel combined for just 48 yards on the ground, while other ball carriers combined to lose two yards.
That 46-yard total is the fewest the Bulldogs have put up in the Auburn series in at least 50 years, according to a tweet from Chattanooga Times Free Press sports writer David Paschall.
