Published:

Glen Powell is filming a scene for his upcoming Hulu TV series at halftime of the Georgia-Mississippi State game.

Powell and numerous other actors were on hand in Athens on Saturday to film scenes from the “Chad Powers” TV show. Numerous photos and videos of Powell surfaced on social media on Saturday evening.

The crowd in Athens even boo’d Powell’s team as they were running out of the tunnel:

The Chad Powers character is based off of an Eli Manning prank that he pulled on Penn State players and coaches a couple of years ago. In that version of the story, Manning suited up in disguise at a walk-on tryout at Penn State.

Powell is a college football fan. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and is a fan of the No. 1-ranked Longhorns. Georgia will be headed to Austin next week to take on Texas.

There is not currently a set premier date for Powell’s new show.
