The Chad Powers character is based off of an Eli Manning prank that he pulled on Penn State players and coaches a couple of years ago. In that version of the story, Manning suited up in disguise at a walk-on tryout at Penn State.
Powell is a college football fan. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and is a fan of the No. 1-ranked Longhorns. Georgia will be headed to Austin next week to take on Texas.
There is not currently a set premier date for Powell’s new show.
