Greg McElroy names Georgia WR who should have ‘increased’ role moving forward

Greg McElroy was monitoring Georgia’s 31-17 win over Tennessee on Saturday. The Bulldogs and Volunteers were tied 17-17 at halftime before the Dawgs scored two second-half touchdowns en route to the win.
McElroy was impressed with the play of London Humphreys, who had three catches for 63 yards to bring his season total to 11 catches and 214 yards. The ESPN analyst believes that the former Vanderbilt wide receiver, who had 22 catches for 439 yards and 4 touchdowns with the Commodores in 2023, should receive more involvement in the Dawgs’ offense the rest of the way.
“I do think that London Humphreys, his role in this offense should increase because he does some of the little things in the route concepts that Georgia has been missing,” McElroy said.

Humphreys is fifth on the team in receiving yards. His 63 yards on Saturday ties a season high set in the regular season opener in Atlanta against Clemson.
His career high was set on Sept. 9, 2023, against Wake Forest, as he totaled 109 yards. He had a 106-yard performance a week later against UNLV.
We’ll see what role Humphreys has to play in the remainder of the year and through the rest of his career at Georgia. The Bulldogs close out the regular season against UMass and Georgia Tech.
