Greg McElroy says LSU didn’t just beat Ole Miss, the Tigers ‘dominated’

Ole Miss (7-1) suffered its first loss of the season as the Rebels fell 45-20 to the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.
While the Tigers themselves have been up-and-down and inconsistent when looking at the season overall, they certainly have tarnished some undefeated records, and now Ole Miss joins a list that includes Mississippi State.
And on top of this, this particular matchup was largely expected to be close with Ole Miss favored to come out on top. Instead, it was lopsided and the underdog pulled away with the win. The key to the game was the Tigers’ pass rush and a defense that rose to the occasion, accompanied by a quarterback in Jayden Daniels who has made and continues to make strides as a passer.
The Ole Miss defense continued to show reasons to be questioned as head coach Lane Kiffin noted tackling as an issue for the third consecutive game. College football analyst Greg McElroy is among those who say that is a game in which the the Tigers didn’t just win, but “dominated” more than anything else. He also broke down just how much Daniels has made improvements and how that has affected LSU playing true complementary football, a reason the Tigers have been able to get hot lately.
