Greg McElroy sees ‘outstanding stuff’ in committee’s first Playoff Rankings

The debut Playoff Top 25 was released on Tuesday, and the debates have started on whether or not the Playoff Committee got it right.
The top four teams on the rankings are Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Clemson. Georgia and Alabama are undefeated while Notre Dame and Clemson each have one loss. Notre Dame’s loss was a one-point defeat to Georgia.
There will always be a debate on whether or not the committee makes the right choice, but it really is hard to argue with the initial rankings. Georgia and Alabama have been dominant for much of the season with an opportunity to improve their resumes over the final four games of the season. Notre Dame and Clemson also have multiple strong wins this year.
ESPN’s Greg McElroy took time to address the initial Playoff Rankings, and he believes the committee’s work is “outstanding stuff.” ESPNU Radio shared audio of McElroy’s comments on Twitter:
