Greg McElroy discussed how Texas A&M will fair in 2023 on ‘Always College Football’. The Aggies are coming off of a 5-7 record last year.
McElroy talked about the various long shots to win their conferences around college football with Stanford Steve. McElroy’s long shot to win the SEC was Texas A&M at 14-to-1 odds.
“If you’re gonna go longshot, it’s Texas A&M by a mile,” said McElroy. “At 14-to-1 odds or so, depending on where you get it. That’s the team that I would without question back if I’m trying to take a flyer.”
The Aggies go on the road to Miami in Week 2. Texas A&M will also have ranked matchups with Alabama (Oct. 7), Tennessee (Oct. 14), Ole Miss (Nov. 4), and LSU (Nov. 25) to end the regular season.
The defense wasn’t the problem last season for the Aggies, it was the offense. Fisher’s defense allowed the fourth-fewest points per game (21.2) last season in the SEC.
The addition of Bobby Petrino at OC will be trying to remedy the offense. Do you agree with McElroy’s pick?
