Auburn’s depth at linebacker took a hit recently when coach Gus Malzahn said backup Richard McBryde would miss the season with a neck injury.
McBryde was a backup at “Sam” linebacker last season, and had 13 tackles, including two in the SEC championship.
“He’s been with us a very long time, he was setup to have a very good season,” Malzahn told reporters.
McBryde redshirted in 2015, and was set to begin his third season for the Tigers.
Richard McBryde will miss the season with a neck injury, Malzahn says.
