Gus Malzahn getting called out after UCF suffers home loss to Louisville

Gus Malzahn is feeling the heat after UCF fell to Louisville, 20-14, at FBC Mortgage Stadium on Friday night.
After a 9-4 mark in 2021, the former Auburn head coach saw his 2nd season in Orlando start off with an easy victory over FCS South Carolina State. Unfortunately for him and the Knights, they saw a 14-7 halftime lead vanish as the Cardinals — fresh off a blowout loss to Syracuse on the road — outscored the hosts 13-0 over the final 2 quarters to improve to 1-1.
This was a program that is only a few years removed from a 13-0 season, so Knights fans won’t take kindly to losses like the one on Friday, much less against a team that, a week ago, was blasted by a Syracuse squad that finished just 5-7 in 2021. And Malzahn caught the ire of some of them on social media throughout the game and following the final whistle:
I really like Gus Malzahn and want him to be the long term answer for us, but his play calling was no doubt the main reason we lost tonight along with ATROCIOUS o-line play #UCF #chargeon

Has Gus Malzahn been fired yet?
Why not?

Gus Malzahn??? Losing games he should win?? You don’t say.

I can hear the convo between Gus Malzahn and John Rhys Plumlee early 2022. "Hey, neither one of us can compete in the SEC, so why don't we take our 'talent' and compete in an inferior league and we will show them really how awesome we are." #Auburn #UCF #Louisville #OleMiss #SEC

Gus Malzahn has turned UCF's offense into a boring mediocrity. 14 points against Louisville?

Gus Malzahn- inexplicably losing at least one game a year that he should’ve won by 14+

Gus malzahn just put up 14 points in a loss to a horrible Louisville team, in case any auburn fans were still questioning firing him

We’ll see if Malzahn and the Knights can get right on Sept. 17 against Florida Atlantic. If they end up dropping that one, the heat is sure to be turned up even more.
