Toughing it out was a theme for Auburn coach Gus Malzahn in his post-game press conference following his team’s come-from-behind 28-24 win over No. 25 Texas A&M.
Malzahn praised Tigers players for not giving up. He had similar praise for the AU fans who did not bail on the team.
The head coach, who not too long ago faced calls for his firing, also touched on the health of RB Boobee Whitlow, his team’s subpar rushing performance as well as some of the deciding plays in the close SEC West contest.
Here’s a look at what Malzahn told reporters:
Auburn HC Gus Malzahn: "First of all, I'm extremely proud of our team. We didn't play our best football today in any of the three phases… Our guys didn't quit. There are plenty of times when they could've."
