Chris Lemonis’ dad, Thomas, is a 1973 Mississippi State graduate, but could not attend the games in Omaha, especially when Mississippi State clinched the national championship with a win over Vanderbilt.
But when they reunited, the emotions flowed in one of the more emotional videos you’ll see. The younger Lemonis has long praised his father for being the kind of parent he was in his life and earlier called him a “SuperDad. I would not be who I am in life without him.”
Likewise, Thomas said about the surprise reunion, “I can’t explain it.”
When they embraced, Chris said, “What do you think about that? I love you and I’ve missed you. I’m glad they brought you, I didn’t know you were coming. I was bringing it to you.”
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
“How about this, see what the guys won? I know you watched the game last night, how crazy is that.”

My dad grew up without his father in his life so he decided to be my SuperDad. I would not be who I am in life without him. He has always been there for me and our family. It is pretty cool that I get to coach at the school he attended. Love you Dad!! pic.twitter.com/TLFNCrgSp9
