There has been some debate as to just who the best team in college football is this year in the midst of what has been a shake-up on multiple fronts.
ESPN’s Heather Dinich is among those who have Ohio State at No. 1, while others have erred on the side of Georgia or another team throughout the year. Dinich notes that while Ohio State may not have the toughest schedule in the country, it has been the most consistently dominant.
She noted the talent of quarterback CJ Stroud and just how well the Buckeyes have done in the red zone as the only team to score on 100% of its red-zone drives.
Dinich currently has Georgia, Tennessee and Oregon behind Ohio State in that order heading into Week 9. Its will be interesting to see how those rankings evolve in the back half of the season.
My top four this week: 1. Ohio State 2. Georgia 3. Tennessee 4 … Quack.

I have Ohio State No. 1 in spite of crap schedule b/c they are 1 of the most consistently dominant teams, scoring at least 49 points vs. Big Ten competition. Only team in FBS that has scored on 100% of its red zone drives. And CJ Stroud makes NFL throws scouts should drool over.

Every yr there is a debate about wins against ranked teams. Does it count if the opponent is no longer ranked?? The COMMITTEE wants to know how many opponents a team beat in THEIR CFP TOP 25 … it matters on Selection Day. It's not just T25, though, opponents over .500 good win
