Hendon Hooker is at the helm of the best offense in the SEC and one of the top units in the country.
He’s thrown just 1 interception all year to go with his 2,093 yards passing and 18 touchdown passes. Hooker has been proficient on the ground too, having racked up 315 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground.
He’s been in the Heisman race pretty much since Week 1 for those who truly follow the sport, but his strongest performances have come in October against LSU and Alabama. With Kentucky on the docket to finish out the month, ESPN writers are all in on the former Virginia Tech transfer for the most prestigious individual trophy in college football.

As you can see, Alabama’s Bryce Young cracked he list at No. 3 for his recent performances against the Vols and Mississippi State. Last year’s Heisman winner threw for 887 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception in the month of October.
Young still has some work to do to prove he is on the same tier as Hooker and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud this season.
