Henry, Coleman among highest risers in Heisman odds from preseason to now
Alabama’s Derrick Henry and Baylor wideout Corey Coleman were considerable longshots to win the Heisman in July, when many oddsmakers believed Ezekiel Elliott, Trevone Boykin and Leonard Fournette were finalist favorites.
A recent hot stretch from Henry and Coleman have catapulted both offensive stars toward the top of 5Dimes’ Nov. 21 updated odds.
Henry, coming off back to back 200-yard outings against nationally-ranked competition, is favored to win the award at -205:

Henry has scored a touchdown in a school-record 15 consecutive games. Coming into Week 12, he’s 16 yards behind Fournette for the SEC lead in rushing.
Coleman is expected to be a Heisman finalist, but Baylor’s loss to Oklahoma last week gave quarterback Baker Mayfield a boost in momentum. Coleman leads the nation in touchdown receptions with 20, six more than his next closest competitor (TCU’s Josh Doctson).
Heisman voting doesn’t close until after conference championship games, so Henry likely has three more starts to pad his impressive numbers.
