For a moment, it looked like Trevor Lawrence might be a Jacksonville Jaguar until Henry Ruggs came to the rescue for Jets fans everywhere.

The winless New York Jets led the Las Vegas Raiders 28-24 with under a minute remaining in the fourth quarter. Raiders QB Derek Carr found former Alabama standout Henry Ruggs III deep and open for the go-ahead score with just 5 seconds left on the clock. The Jets were unsuccessful on a final heave to the end zone, falling 31-28.

You might say the Jets wanted to make sure the Raiders scored a touchdown in that situation.

Both fan bases were presumably celebrating Ruggs’ TD, the second of his rookie season.
