The winless New York Jets led the Las Vegas Raiders 28-24 with under a minute remaining in the fourth quarter. Raiders QB Derek Carr found former Alabama standout Henry Ruggs III deep and open for the go-ahead score with just 5 seconds left on the clock. The Jets were unsuccessful on a final heave to the end zone, falling 31-28.

You might say the Jets wanted to make sure the Raiders scored a touchdown in that situation.
The Jets have an undrafted free agent on Henry Ruggs in man coverage on the next-to-last play of the game and he falls for a double move when the only thing that hurts them is getting beat deep. DO IT GREGG

Going Cover 0 from midfield with five seconds left when they were up 4 and LVR had no timeouts is truly one of the worst defensive play calls I’ve ever seen. There is no way they called that thinking it was genuinely the right play call. No way. I’m going full conspiracy theory.

Both fan bases were presumably celebrating Ruggs’ TD, the second of his rookie season.
