ESPN College GameDay host Kirk Herbstreit was answering fan questions on Twitter Saturday morning when he predicted Tennessee would win the SEC East.
As you can imagine, other SEC East fanbases were not happy with the pick, particularly fans of defending division champion Florida.
Was that an attempt at a shot? Haha!! Gotcha. So the second I say something good about UF I'm brilliant! Gotcha! ? https://t.co/VpDIlDMMds

Some Gator fans think they're entitled to the crown in the East. You watch UF in their bowl game? Got that one right https://t.co/B3CVxnJ5E5

Herbstreit lands good digs at his Gators detractors with the bowl game reference (Michigan beat UF 41-7) and a backhanded compliment on Jim McElwain’s 10-4 debut season following the 12-13 final two seasons of the Will Muschamp tenure.
While most experts agree that Tennessee is a legitimate preseason candidate to win the division and even the conference, Herbstreit better get used to Florida and Alabama fans reminding him of how it has been since UT defeated its two biggest rivals if he’s going to talk up the Volunteers on social media.
