High school football is back, and the country is rejoicing. College football’s Week 0 happens next Saturday, too. We’re entering into the best time of the year.
Friday night started off with a bang for one team. The Westerville Central Warhawks (Ohio) had a thrilling 23-20 win over the Westerville North Warriors (Ohio), and as far as excitement goes, it’ll be all downhill for the rest of the season for Central.
Down 20-17, Central had the ball at their own 28-yard line with just 5.1 seconds remaining, and it needed a miracle. And that’s exactly what it got. The Warhawks quarterback took the snap in the shotgun formation, and he hit the wide receiver over the middle. Well, the defense never saw the hook-and-ladder coming, and once the second Warriors player took the pitch, it was all over.

For Central, this is an incredible way to start the season. For North, this is the kind of play that haunts teams the entire year.
Nonetheless, football is back!
