Alabama is getting one of its top 2021 commitments on campus for the spring semester. Mobile Christian School standout Deontae Lawson shared Sunday on his Twitter account that he will be early enrolling.

Lawson committed to the Crimson Tide back on Dec. 27, 2019. He is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 inside linebacker and No. 6 recruit in the state of Alabama on the 247Sports Composite. Lawson accepted an invitation to play in the All-American Bowl postseason high school all-star game.

According to his 247Sports recruiting profile, Lawson logged 144 tackles, including 7 for loss and 7 sacks, last season along with 3 interceptions. Lawson has collected 29 scholarship offers in his recruitment. In Alabama’s loaded 2021 class, No. 1 in the SEC and No. 2 nationally on the Composite, Lawson is the highest-rated designated linebacker commitment with a Composite score of 0.9494.

Hopefully, Lawson and the rest of the 2021 early enrollees get to experience a spring semester with spring practice.
