Phillip Fulmer has apparently made up his mind, the Lady Vols need a change in leadership.

For many reasons, Tennessee’s AD had a tough decision to make when it came to Lady Vols coach Holly Warlick. While the program just had one of the worst seasons in its history, Warlick is a Knoxville native who has been with the program dating back to 1985. She was also the hand-picked successor of Pat Summitt.

Despite all that she had going for her on Rocky Top, the Lady Vols struggled on the court and never made the Final Four in her seven seasons coaching the team. Now she’s been let go by the school, which was first reported by Jeff Goodman of Stadium. The Lady Vols went 19-13 this season with a losing record in conference play at 7-9.

Warlick finishes her head coaching career in Knoxville with a 172-67 record with a 78-34 SEC mark. She led the Lady Vols to three Elite Eight appearances, with the latest one coming back in 2016.
