The Arkansas Razorbacks were feeling great before the matchup against their old Southwest Conference rival Texas Sunday, and it certainly showed.

Arkansas defeated Texas 11-5 following a 2.5 hour rain delay in the sixth inning, and the Hogs blew things wide open after the delay in the sixth. Ten consecutive men reached base before Texas even recorded an out, and eight runs crossed the plate. After the inning, Arkansas led 11-2 and certainly never looked back. Heston Kjerstad and Jared Gates led the Hogs with three hits each, and Kjerstad finished with three RBIs.

With Sunday’s win, Arkansas has now defeated Texas three times this season: 13-4, 7-5 and 11-5.

The Hogs are seriously on fire right now, and it’s going to take another team’s best game to beat them in Omaha.

The Hogs stay in the winner’s bracket to face the winner of Florida-Texas Tech, while Texas will play the loser.
