Plenty of former SEC players will get the chance to play in the Big Game when Atlanta and New England square off in Super Bowl LI.

Superstar receiver Julio Jones is preparing to play his former Alabama teammate, Dont’a Hightower. Former Florida defensive backs Brian Poole and Keanu Neal paired with Deion Jones, their college rival from LSU, to revive Atlanta’s defense.

All told, there will be 28 former SEC players heading down to Houston.

But how many times has each SEC school been represented in the various Super Bowls throughout history? CBS ranked every college program to find out who placed the most players in the NFL’s ultimate game, and the SEC was well represented.

Here’s the full breakdown of the conference:

No. 7 – Tennessee (97 players)

No. 10 – Georgia (89)

No. 12 – LSU (85)

No. 13 – Alabama (83)

No. 16 – Florida (77)

No. 19 – Texas A&M (73)

No. 33 – Auburn (53)

No. 45 – Kentucky (41)

No. 47 – Mississippi State (40)

No. 50 – Arkansas (38)

No. 52 – Ole Miss (37)

No. 53 – South Carolina (35)

No. 55 – Missouri (33)

No. 98 – Vanderbilt (15)

More former Tennessee players have played in the Super Bowl than those of any other program. The Vols are only seventh among all schools, however. Atop this list is Miami, which has had 118 former players appear in the Super Bowl.
