How the BCS rank would rank the top 16 teams after Week 10

After the results of Week 10, there is a growing consensus that the top four teams in the country are Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Michigan. Both the Associated Press Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Poll have those teams in the top four. The poll that matters most, the College Football Playoff selection committee’s rankings, varied in Week 10 from the other polls, but it had Michigan above Georgia even before the Wolverines thumped Penn State 42-7 in not-so-Happy Valley.
What if, instead of the selection committee, the BCS system was used to determine the final four teams? The folks at BCSKnowHow.com plug in the numbers and run the math. It shows that the difference between Michigan and Georgia would be incredibly small, the likely subject of all your favorite sports debate shows from now until Saturday.
