How will Kirby Smart round out the rest of his staff? Here’s a breakdown of the possibilities as they’re being reported right now at certain positions:

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Footballscoop is reporting that Smart prefers to bring Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp with him. It also reported that Jeremy Pruitt is not likely to be retained.

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Bruce Feldman at FOX Sports is on record saying he thinks Western Kentucky offensive coordinator Tyson Helton could be in play for the offensive coordinator position. Another potential candidate is Alabama wide receivers coach Billy Napier.

DEFENSIVE LINE COACH

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, current defensive line coach Tracy Rocker could be retained, or Smart may go after Florida defensive line coach Chris Rumph.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COORDINATOR

AL.com reported on Tuesday night that Alabama strength and conditioning coordinator Scott Cochran will join Smart at Georgia as the two are close. Footballscoop concurred with this report, saying Cochran and defensive guru and player development staffer Glen Schumann would be a part of his staff.

RUNNING BACKS COACH

Footballscoop has reported that Thomas Brown will be retained.

WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

The website has also reported that Bryan McClendon will be retained.
