Auburn is putting its future in the hands of Hugh Freeze, the controversial former Ole Miss and Liberty coach. Freeze is now tasked with restoring the Tigers back to the brand of elite football that fans have grown accustomed to.
A major part of that will be on the recruiting trail. If Auburn will have any shot at dethroning Georgia or merely even winning its division, acquiring top talent will be vital.
During his Saturday appearance on College GameDay, the 53-year-old coach emphasized that Auburn is still one of the elite programs in the nation while giving his recruiting pitch.

“For all the recruits that are listening right now, you can play right away. You can help us get that back there,” Freeze said. “The tradition is there. The support is there. The passion is there. The resources are there. We’ve got to pull everybody together and head in the same direction but we have to get great players.”
Auburn ends this season with a 5-7 mark after a 49-27 loss at Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Auburn has 1 10+ win season in the last decade.
