Ole Miss’ social media team had the perfect tweet ready for beating Liberty.
As soon as the clock hit zeros, Ole Miss fired off a 27-14 final score tweet with a callback to a certain tweet by Hugh Freeze.

Freeze’s “compliance” tweet from his Ole Miss days has become a favorite meme of CFB Twitter.

Ole Miss is of course doing a bit of self-trolling since there were indeed issues to bring to the attention of Ole Miss Compliance during Freeze’s tenure with the Rebels (2012-16). After resigning in July 2017, Freeze resurfaced at Liberty in 2019 and has led the Flames to a 25-9 record and back-to-back bowl wins.
